DEPARTMENT OF AGAD TANTRA

Agada Tantra is one among the eight branches of Ayurveda. This department deals with the study of toxins of both animate and inanimate origin. It deals with Forensic Modern and Medical Jurisprudence (Medical aspect of Law and legal aspects of Medicine). It also deals with food incompatibility, food adulteration, different sources of exposure of poisons and preventive aspects of different kinds of poisons. Our Agada Tantra department has a well-developed museum where we display pictorial illustration of various aspects of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Specimens of Poisonous substances, various types of weapons and also models related to the subject.
